About Keystone

Independent infrastructure judgement, built on real delivery experience

Keystone Infrastructure exists to give business clients calm, senior technical guidance around infrastructure risk, supplier decisions, resilience, and controlled change.

Keystone is built around practical infrastructure judgement.

The company was created to help organisations make better infrastructure decisions before cost, risk, supplier pressure, or technical uncertainty becomes difficult to unwind.

Founded by Hardev Dhesi

Keystone Infrastructure is led by Hardev “Dace” Dhesi, a senior network and infrastructure specialist with more than twenty years of experience across complex enterprise environments.

Senior network and infrastructure background

Dace has worked across network design, build, implementation, documentation, support, troubleshooting, and infrastructure assurance.

Experience across demanding sectors

His experience spans financial markets, trading environments, manufacturing and transport technology, automotive retail, cyber security, public sector, and large local government environments.

Calm delivery under complexity

The work has included datacentre migrations, firewall transitions, supplier evaluation, secure network design, wireless transformation, automation, and third-line escalation.

Experience that shapes Keystone

Keystone’s advisory approach is shaped by hands-on delivery, architecture, operational support, and leadership experience across environments where mistakes are expensive.

1

Financial markets

Experience across trading and financial environments, including datacentre migration, firewall change, low-level design, and production escalation.

2

Enterprise infrastructure

Network, firewall, routing, switching, VPN, wireless, datacentre, and cloud-connected infrastructure across large estates.

3

Supplier challenge

Vendor engagement, supplier review, RFI/RFP involvement, product evaluation, and technical decision support.

4

Operational reality

Third-line support, BAU handover, documentation, coaching, incident diagnosis, and practical troubleshooting.

Technical areas covered

  • Network architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Firewall policy, migration, routing, and security boundaries.
  • Datacentre migration and infrastructure transition.
  • VXLAN, EVPN, routing, switching, and core connectivity.
  • Wireless design, refresh, and enterprise mobility.
  • Infrastructure automation, documentation, and handover.
  • Supplier evaluation, technical assurance, and escalation support.

How this helps clients

Keystone gives clients an independent view before they commit money, accept risk, or follow supplier-led technical direction.

  • Clearer understanding of infrastructure risk.
  • Better challenge around supplier proposals.
  • Practical recommendations, not unnecessary complexity.
  • Defined engagement boundaries through Statements of Work.
  • Senior judgement without permanent headcount.

Why Keystone exists

Many organisations rely heavily on infrastructure but do not always have independent senior infrastructure judgement available when decisions need to be made.

To reduce preventable risk

Infrastructure risk often hides in assumptions, undocumented dependencies, unclear ownership, supplier gaps, and legacy decisions.

To challenge technical direction

Supplier recommendations are not always wrong, but they should be tested against business risk, resilience, supportability, and long-term cost.

To provide senior judgement without overbuilding

Keystone focuses on what is sensible, proportionate, supportable, and commercially useful.

Keystone works best with

  • SMBs with limited senior infrastructure capability in-house.
  • Leadership teams relying heavily on MSPs, telecoms providers, cloud vendors, or external suppliers.
  • Internal IT teams that need independent senior support.
  • Manufacturing, logistics, engineering, legal, and professional services organisations.
  • Businesses planning infrastructure change, risk review, supplier review, or modernisation.

Keystone is not

Keystone is deliberately not positioned as an emergency helpdesk, break/fix support provider, or open-ended staff augmentation service.

  • No emergency support unless separately agreed.
  • No managed service desk or BAU support wrapper.
  • No unlimited implementation under advisory retainers.
  • No supplier-led product sales agenda.
